About us
Make beautiful landscapes better
Introduction
The natural beauty of a place is defined as what makes it unique, characteristics derived from the geology, landform and climate. The interplay between these factors dictates the species that thrive, the industries that grow, and the heritage, culture and language of the area – all shaped and influenced by waves and generations of people. These places have always changed and developed, but their distinctiveness remains.
The twin challenges of climate change and nature depletion are well documented, yet the current global response to the effects of human impact on nature is insufficient. We believe National Landscapes have the potential to increase the scale and pace of nature conservation activity as well as shape land management which helps adapt and mitigate the harmful effects of a changing climate. We will champion their potential, help land managers adopt regenerative practices, and seek opportunities to resource nature-based solutions at scale.
