Doughnut Economics in Protected Landscapes webinar - for protected landscapes staff members

Location: Zoom

The National Landscapes Association in collaboration with the Protected Landscapes Partnership is hosting a Doughnut Economics in Protected Landscapes webinar on Tuesday 1st October 2024 from 2-3pm.

This event is free and open to all National Landscapes, National Parks, and National Trails staff. It will be recorded.

We will be hearing from Helen Lucocq of Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, Sarah Gibson and Steven Draper of Tamar Valley National Landscape, and Phil Holden of Shropshire Hills National Landscape about their experiences with the model.

The aim of this session is to give an overview of the potential of Doughnut Economics in our landscapes using the three case studies.

It will address:

What the model is (briefly)
How it relates to our specific contexts
What problems it can solve for our teams
A flavour of the process it takes to "bake" a doughnut
How it can help us to have more influence

This webinar will just scrape the surface of how doughnut economics works and can be applied for protected landscapes specifically. If there is sufficient interest, we will consider follow-on events to unpick the specifics.
