Volunteers use dry stone walling heritage skills to keep Forest of Bowland National Landscape beautiful
Forest of Bowland National Landscape has a successful volunteering programme which sees local people trained in valuable heritage skills like dry-stone walling.
Regular volunteering days give them chance to use their training out in the landscape restoring iconic heritage assets.
Many National Landscapes offer similar opportunities - check out your local National Landscape's website to see if they are looking for new volunteers.
