Empower people to have a stake in beauty
Introduction
We believe communities should be empowered to exercise their voice in decisions over how landscape in their locality is managed. We trust the values of communities to balance the competing challenges of economy, nature and society, and to find solutions to the nature and climate emergencies we face. Greater co-production of the democratically derived Management Plan for each National Landscape, furthering opportunities to get involved in their governance and partnerships, and boosting volunteering opportunities are just a start. We will explore growing the movement of community ownership, stewardship, collaboration and co-production in National Landscapes.
