As part of the EUROPARC Atlantic Isles conference 'Fitter for the Future', Forest of Bowland National Landscape team is coordinating a field trip to the Ernest Cook Trusts's Low Beckside Farm.

ECT is developing the farm as a hub for outdoor learning and green skills; as well as a working farmed landscape in a National Park. The team at Low Beckside Farm has been investing in apprenticeships and trainees and are keen to share their knowledge and learn from others in the sector.

The visit will include a tour of the farm, looking at nature recovery work underway through a
Higher Level stewardship scheme and delivered in conjunction with the apprentices.

Pickups from Penrith station are available, and a free lunch is provided

Travel bursaries for those under the age of 30 are available, thanks to generous support from ECT.
