Caroline Kelly
Nature Recovery Officer (maternity cover)
Caroline joined the National Landscapes Association as Nature Recovery Officer in July 2026. Her role is supporting the National Landscapes family to continue the ongoing work to deliver ambitious nature recovery through partnership working, evidence-based conservation and landscape-scale thinking.
Her entire career has been focused on helping to protect and restore our precious wildlife and habitats, working with organisations including Dorset National Landscape, Buglife, Butterfly Conservation and Plantlife. Her background combines landscape-scale practical conservation, species recovery, project management, collaboration and engagement.
Living and working in Dorset has given her a real connection to the Dorset National Landscape, particularly Purbeck, where she has spent some years delivering conservation projects and undertaking her Master of Research. It's a place that continually reminds her why protected landscapes matter—not only for the incredible wildlife and habitats they support, but for the opportunities they provide for people to connect with nature. She is excited to help strengthen the role of National Landscapes in leading nature recovery across the UK.
