Kaye Jemmeson

Senior Communications and Media Officer

With over 30 years of experience in communications, Kaye’s journey began with a deep-rooted passion for the power of words and their potential to drive meaningful change. Her career has spanned a variety of roles, from PR Manager and Senior Journalist to Communications Lead, all of which have enabled her to tell stories that resonate with people and inspire action.

Kaye joined our team in April 2025, bringing a wealth of expertise and a genuine love for nature and the outdoors. Her career in the conservation sector began in 2013 when she became part of the brilliant team at the North Pennines National Landscape, playing a key role in raising the profile of the organisation and its projects.

Kaye’s work has had a lasting impact on some of the UK's most beloved natural spaces. She was behind the award-winning Lake District Kind campaign with the Lake District National Park Authority and, most recently, in her role as Communications Manager for the Protected Landscapes Partnership.

A proud north easterner, Kaye has spent time in many of its beautiful, protected landscapes from the North Pennines and Northumberland Coast, as well as the Lake District and North Yorkshire National Parks. She currently lives in Devon where alongside her beloved dog Jacques, she is exploring the south west's National Landscape gems including Blackdown Hills, East Devon, North Devon Coast and South Devon.

Inspired by her own love of nature and wildlife, she is dedicated to making their benefits accessible to everyone. She'll be bringing together her professional expertise with her personal passions to amplify the work of both the National Landscapes Association and the wider National Landscapes family.
