Elliott Lorimer

Elliott Lorimer

Trustee

Elliott has worked in landscape, conservation and rural development roles for over 25 years.

In 2024, he moved to work as the Director of Parks Services at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.  Before this, he worked for 13 years as the Partnership Manager for the Forest of Bowland National Landscape.  Elliott is trained in both Environmental Science and in Rural Development and Planning.

Elliott is a representative on a range of regional, national and international organisations and partnerships, including as Council Member for EUROPARC Federation for Protected Areas, the Great North Bog coalition, Lancashire Peat Partnership and three Local Nature Partnerships.

Born and raised in Scotland, Elliott has now made his home with his family in Lancashire, on the edge of the Forest of Bowland.  When he's not working, he likes to be walking or running the fells, doing a spot of 'bad' birdwatching, or watching his sons play sport.
