Burger has a long varied career in the private sector and charity sector, starting out in South Africa and later in the UK charity sector in various roles. He joined the National Landscapes Association in April 2024 adjacent to his role at Westminster Almshouses Foundation where he is the part time Finance Manager. Burger brings a strong combination of substantial business start-up, business development and extensive commercial skills with experience of strategic leadership, small team management, finance & operations innovation and service delivery in the not-for-profit sector. He completed a post-graduate MSc in Charity Sector Management at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass), specialising in Charity Accounting, Audit and Taxation, including a post-graduate Diploma in Charity Accounting and Financial Management (ICAEW accredited). Burger lives in North London.
