Bill Jenman
Big Chalk Nature Recovery Fund Manager
Before joining the National Landscapes Association, Bill worked for Heritage Insider Ltd, helping to evaluate and support various heritage projects. Before that he has worked for Suffolk and Essex Coast and Heaths and then the Quantock Hills National Landscapes, developing and delivering two successful National Lottery Heritage Fund supported Landscape Partnership Schemes.
Over a forty-year career he has also worked as Sussex Wildlife Trust’s Reserves Manager and Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s Head of Biodiversity, as well as a stint as South Downs Way National Trail Officer, so he knows chalk landscapes and the management challenges it brings.
Outside of work Bill has explored landscapes all over the UK, as a walker and walk leader. Fascinated by landscape history and prehistory generally, he’s also a keen cook. Bill grew up on the North Kent Downs and now lives in Somerset.
