Having studied town and country planning at university, specialising in sustainable transport planning, Richard started his professional life as a Planning Enforcement Officer in central London.
More recently he has worked for the National Lottery Heritage Fund in North West England, assessing grant applications and supporting project delivery, and subsequently as a freelance project manager in the arts & heritage sector. He is passionate about supporting and empowering organisations and communities seeking to create positive change.
Richard’s role at the National Landscapes Association is part-time Finance & Administrative Officer. He lives on the edge of the Llŷn National Landscape / Tirwedd Genedlaethol Llŷn in Gwynedd, North Wales, drawn to that part of the world by the sea and mountains.
When not enjoying Eryri and the Llŷn Peninsula, Richard teaches yoga in classes, workshops and retreats in North Wales.
